PR Professional Recognized for Contributions – Inducted into CPRS College of Fellows

Robyn Quinn, longtime communications professional and principal consultant and owner of Big Bang Communications has been named to the Canadian Public Relations Society College of Fellows. College members are recognized as proven leaders in public relations and communications. They have made exceptional contributions to the profession and their communities. Including this year’s inductees there are just 84 members in the CPRS College of Fellows across Canada.
“Earning a Fellowship with the Canadian Public Relations Society is a true testament to a public relations practitioner’s professionalism, dedication and contribution to the public relations and communications community,” added Derrick Pieters APR, FCPRS, Presiding Officer, CPRS College of Fellows. “I am extremely pleased to congratulate the newly appointed Fellows on this professional accomplishment.”
Quinn has practiced public relations in a number of sectors including the military, performing arts, retail, nonprofit, research and technology. Her company Big Bang Communications specializes in public relations and communications for high growth technology companies. Quinn served as the president of the CPRS Vancouver Island Chapter 2000/2001 and later as the society’s national president in 2004/2005. She continues to volunteer and mentor new practitioners entering the field.
“Being recognized nationally for professional commitment by my peers is definitely a career highlight for me,” said Quinn.
The CPRS College of Fellows was established in 1998 to recognize outstanding CPRS members who have made a lasting contribution to the field. CPRS Fellows will be formally presented at the annual College of Fellows Luncheon during the upcoming Canadian Public Relations Conference, June 9-11 in Ottawa-Gatineau.
